Back in September I went to stay with friends for a long weekend who live in Ayr, Scotland. Whilst there i experienced all weathers, with horrendous rain, to beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine. It was a pleasurable weekend with friends, however the highlight for me was the range of stunning landscapes to photograph. It was a very fulfilling day on the Saturday as we went to so many places, which were picture perfect.
We drove along the coastal road from Ayr all the way up to the town of Largs. Along this route was many picturesque views across to the Isle of Arran.
Whilst travelling along the coastal road we had a short meander around Portencross Castle and the quaint little harbour at Portencross. Even though this was a really small little area, it had a very unique charm and character to it.
We had a quick stop at Troon Harbour which was a really busy harbour with many different varieties of boats, and maritime history symbolise objects around the harbour.
At 6o’clock in the evening we had a quick walk along Doonfoot Beach looking up at Greenan Castle. I walked out onto the sand flats to take the following photographs that i was quietly pleased with.
After this time we had our dinner in a local pub, whilst i was window peeping to see the light out over the sea at sunset. To which one of our friends said, would you like to go down, i jumped at the opportunity. I am so thankful that i did, as the effect of the images i got was simply priceless. Looking out over the sea to the Isle of Arran, the lighting was so golden creating a beautiful effect in the pools of water. Again i took a walk out over the sand flats as i thought i may capture a reflection. The results i achieved this evening, i feel are simply stunning.

Overall my trip to Scotland in September 2017, was thoroughly enjoyed with many beautiful landscapes captured that i am pleased with, and hope you will enjoy.
